During my stay abroad, I was able to spend a total of one year in Latin America. I spent most of this time – about two-thirds – in Medellín, Colombia, where I was able to get to know the everyday life, culture and social life intensively. I used the rest of my time to travel extensively through South America, taking me from Peru to Bolivia, Chile, Argentina and Uruguay. This stay gave me a wide range of intercultural experiences and a deep insight into the different ways of life and cultures of the continent.
Let’s begin in Medellín: young, vibrant, and alive — where culture spills into the streets and the city.
Colombia is too beautiful to stay in just one city. So we took a few trips across the country. Our next stop is Jardín, a small town in the heart of rural Colombia.
